Functioning workshop with machinery, workers and tools of the trade such as wood and sanders

CRAFT

From the detailed plans, our team of highly skilled joiners and apprentices will start sawing, cutting, planing, sanding, dovetailing and seamlessly handcrafting your cabinets - from natural materials wherever possible, using traditional skills and with a bit of help from our trusted machines.

Next up - colour. This can be the natural wood, a stain or paint to give you the colour combinations for your dream kitchen. Rarely is just one colour involved so we work hard to make sure your colour palette is perfect for you and your home. We only use special industrial grade paints and all natural timbers are given a final clear lacquer finish to protect it from everyday use.

Finally we assemble your kitchen in our workshop for a quality control check before leaving for site. We can safely say that nothing but the best passes and the whole workshop process takes about two weeks.

DESIGN

Start with a visit to our showroom and then watch your ideas come to life with our complimentary design service.

After an initial chat about who really does the washing up and where you keep the tea-bags, our lead designer will produce an initial CAD plan along with a first estimate. After a little tweaking to optimise the design and efficiency of the layout we will start to talk materials and colours and produce 3D renders to help you visualise your new Minerva kitchen.

Two rounds of plans and 3D renders usually get us to the final specification, but if you want to explore more options an hourly design fee will then be applied.

MEASURE

When you’ve made that all important decision to go ahead with your design, we will start the process of creating workshop production drawings.

Our experienced CAD technician will visit your home (with his bag of lasers and levels) to take very detailed site measurements and survey the space to ensure you are ready for installation.

From these measurements and your list of appliances, we will produce a full set of detailed plans and elevations of every millimetre of your kitchen. This ensures that what is made will fit perfectly into your home.

FIT

From workshop to home. Our trained and experienced fitters will begin delivering and installing your kitchen as soon as the workshop build is complete.

Why do we prefer to do the fitting out? Unlike flat-pack furniture, our handmade cabinets have been tailored to your space to fit exactly. Every cabinet is placed and levelled and every door and drawer is manually fine-tuned to close just perfectly - a detail often overlooked but much appreciated when done properly by a professional team.

On average our friendly fitters will take up to two weeks to install the cabinetry and template the worktops, with a specialist team fitting your worktops the week after. After one last quality check all that’s left to do is to pop the kettle on and relax in your new kitchen - rest assured that all of our handmade cabinets come with a 15-year Minerva Guarantee.
