ABBOTT'S KITCHEN

The Abbotts Kitchen was handcrafted in our bologna collection; our classic shaker design with the elegant addition of pencil beading around the doors and drawers. The perimeter cabinetry was painted in 'Cardea 080' and the kitchen island was painted in 'Pluto 020'. The cabinetry was paired with polished chrome handles and a quartz worktop from Silestone in 'Calacatta Gold'.

The Abbotts' kitchen was meticulously handcrafted for a beautiful Grade II listed farmhouse. Steeped in history and exquisite stonework, the property exudes a timeless elegance; however, as their family grew and their lifestyle evolved, our clients found themselves in need of more functional space—particularly for hosting cherished family gatherings and celebrations.

Recognising the importance of creating a home that could accommodate their needs, they made the exciting decision to invest in their property by adding a thoughtfully designed extension to the side of the house. This new addition transformed their kitchen into a spacious, open-plan area, the perfect canvas for us to design and craft their new kitchen!

The kitchen showcases a thoughtfully chosen two-toned colour palette that perfectly complements the space. The perimeter cabinetry is painted in a soft, crisp white, seamlessly blending with the room's architecture to create a bright and airy atmosphere. In contrast, the kitchen island was painted in a bold, darker hue, deliberately designed to stand out as the room's centrepiece. This striking secondary colour not only draws the eye but also adds depth and richness to the overall design, creating a harmonious balance of light and dark tones.

Throughout this thoughtfully designed kitchen, you will discover an array of carefully crafted display features, each tailored to showcase our clients' unique personality and cherished memories. One standout feature is the bespoke shelving unit nestled in the corner by the countertop cupboard. These custom oak shelves are as practical as they are beautiful, providing a warm and inviting space for our clients to store and display their favourite cookbooks.

Above the hob, the canopy boasts an elegant mantle, an ideal location for showcasing our client's collection of decorative plates. This feature not only adds character to the kitchen but also serves as a delightful focal point, allowing these unique pieces to be admired daily. Adjacent to the mantle, in another thoughtfully utilised corner, we designed a glazed wall cabinet. This piece was created to highlight their cherished glassware, offering protection and visibility. The transparent doors provide a glimpse into their carefully curated collection, making it a striking yet practical addition to the space.

At one end of the kitchen, we included our ever-popular countertop cupboard, a feature that combines functionality with elegance. This cupboard is a versatile addition to any kitchen with its practical bi-folding doors, integrated oak shelving, energy-efficient LED lighting, and additional countertop space. Many of our clients transform these cabinets into a dedicated "breakfast station" or "drinks station," keeping all the essentials—like coffee machines, kettles, and toasters—in one convenient location. The beauty of this feature lies in its ability to hide everything away neatly behind its doors, ensuring a tidy and organised look even during busy mornings.
