RUSHBROOK KITCHEN
The Rushbrook kitchen was handcrafted in our Bologna collection - our classic shaker design with luxurious pencil beading detailing. The shaker cabinetry was painted in 'Silvanus 230' a beautiful shade of green from our paint palette. To complete the kitchen design, the cabinetry was adorned with polished nickel knobs and cup handles, the 'Metis' tap from Perrin and Rowe was chosen in polished nickel and a classic 'Carrara Quartz' worktop was chosen to finish the design.
Our clients had been on a journey to create their dream home for several years, carefully crafting a space where their entire family could thrive. With a passion for DIY and a vision in mind, they tackled much of the building work and renovations themselves. However, when it came to designing the heart of their home—the kitchen—they knew they needed the expertise of a professional team. That's when they turned to us.
Our Bologna Collection stood out as the ideal choice for this modern country home. This collection perfectly embodies the charm and warmth of traditional country homes while offering a fresh, contemporary twist. The shaker-inspired design is timeless, featuring simple, classic cabinetry that brings a sense of comfort and familiarity. But what truly sets this kitchen apart is the luxurious pencil beading we've designed around the doors and drawers. This subtle detail adds a refined, modern touch that ties the overall aesthetic together, creating an elegant and inviting space.
Living amidst the peaceful countryside, our clients deeply cherish their natural surroundings and wanted to reflect this connection in their kitchen design. To achieve this, they selected 'Silvanus 230' for their cabinetry—a deep, rich shade of green that evokes the tranquillity of nature. This colour not only enhances the light and airy ambience of the room but also seamlessly blends with the scenic beauty just outside their windows, making the kitchen feel like a harmonious extension of the outdoors.
At the heart of this kitchen is the island, which has become the true centrepiece of the room. Designed to be a hub for creativity and family interaction, it has been thoughtfully tailored to suit our clients' lifestyle. One end of the island features custom oak shelving, a perfect spot for storing colouring pencils, notepads, and drawing paper—one of the family's favourite activities at the integrated breakfast bar. This space is more than just a kitchen; it's a place where memories are made, whether over a shared meal or a spontaneous art session.
In addition to the creative storage solutions, we've incorporated an oak wine rack into the island, providing a beautiful and functional way for our clients to display their favourite bottles. This is complemented by several oak drawers and hidden cupboards beneath the breakfast bar, offering ample storage without compromising style. These thoughtful details ensure that every inch of the kitchen is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
Understanding the importance of organisation and functionality, our clients wanted to include a larder within their kitchen. We responded by creating a bespoke, single-doored larder integrated into the shaker cabinetry. Inside, the larder features a beautiful oak spice rack, two oak drawer boxes, and plenty of oak shelving. This design allows our clients to keep all their dried goods neatly organised and easily accessible, adding convenience and charm to their culinary experience.
Lastly, the freestanding dresser has become a beloved drinks station for the family. With the coffee machine, mugs, glasses, and an array of beverages all neatly stored in one place, creating the perfect drink has never been easier! Whether it's a morning coffee or an evening cocktail, this space brings a sense of ritual and enjoyment to the everyday routine.
