Upcoming Kitchen Trends

16th January 2024

Upcoming kitchen trends you may want to consider for your handmade, bespoke kitchen from us at Minerva.

They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and for good reason. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so it's no wonder they have such a big impact on our moods and our homes. At the beginning of every year, we all sit back and think about our New Year's resolutions, and the majority of us decide that it's time to renovate and redecorate our homes.

We wanted to share some of the kitchen trends for 2027 to give you a heads up and help inspire your next project.

LIGHT AND DARK OAK STAINS

If you want a stained kitchen instead of painted cabinetry we now offer 5 rich shades for Oak cabinetry only - Sand, Linen, Mink, Cinder, and Espresso. These can be used across your entire kitchen: carcasses, fronts, frames, and internals giving you a consistent finish from top to bottom. Whatever your kitchen’s aesthetic, there’s a stain to match.

CONCEALED ORGANISATION

Having a 'hidden' pantry is becoming more and more popular within kitchen design. It allows storage space to blend seamlessly into the rest of your kitchen cabinetry. The door is built to match the finish, colour, and grain of the adjacent kitchen cabinets.

ENTERTAINING AREAS

Having your own bar within the kitchen is becoming extremely popular as people are opting to stay in. It creates the perfect way to host family and friends and they look beautiful aesthetically, these can be styled however you like with various drawers, shelving and LED lighting.

STATEMENT ISLANDS

A statement kitchen island can transform a functional space into a striking feature, bringing character, individuality to the heart of the home. Whether defined by a bold colour, a beautifully veined natural stone worktop, contrasting cabinetry or pendant lighting, an island creates a natural focal point that draws the eye and anchors the overall design.

WARM AND TONAL COLOUR PALETTES

A colour palette doesn’t always need to be bold or vibrant. Warm, tonal colours can create just as much impact, bringing depth and richness to a kitchen. By layering complementary shades of earthy neutrals, soft taupes, warm whites, muted terracottas and deeper natural tones. Think warm wood finishes paired with creamy cabinetry.

We can't wait to start designing and crafting a whole new years worth of kitchens in 2027, or if you are ready to start putting ideas together get in touch with us to book your complimentary design consultation at either of our showrooms with our expert design team.
