WHY SHOULD I MAKE ONE?

A mood board is a visual tool that helps you communicate your design concepts and ideas. It's a curated collection of images, materials, colour palettes, text, and other elements arranged to display a particular aesthetic or feeling.

You could start with an idea from a post you've found on instagram, a colour you've always loved, or a kitchen accessory you already had. If you have so many ideas that you're unsure what to choose, creating a mood board can help you identify patterns in your preferences, pinpointing your style and allowing you to move forward with your kitchen design.

HOW DO I CREATE MY OWN?

The first step when creating mood boards is to gather inspiration. This could be magazine clippings, pictures of kitchens you love, colour swatches, kitchen accessories or textures, anything that inspires you and reflects your style.

Once you've gathered your inspiration, you'll need to choose how to create your mood board; you could keep everything physical and arrange it all together on a piece of card or a note board, or, there are plenty of digital ways you can create your mood board, a popular method is on Pinterest, you can create a board and simply add your inspiration to it.

Colour is an essential aspect of your mood board, it is one of the main focal points in your kitchen and will set the overall aesthetic of your space. You don't have to decide on one colour immediately; We suggest picking a range of colours you like, and our designers will help you narrow your selection and show you are very own paint palette. They will help you decide on the primary colour for your cabinetry, and then they will suggest any complimenting colours you can include via your worktop and any accessories.
