A new home with a new vision

It was a real pleasure to welcome these clients back. We had crafted a kitchen for them in their previous home, and when they moved they knew they wanted to work with us again. That kind of trust means a great deal, and it gave us a strong foundation to build from. A home of this scale deserved a kitchen that felt considered and completely personal to them.

The Bewdley Kitchen was crafted in our Florence Collection, a Shaker design with Georgian-inspired bolection moulding that brings a richness to the cabinetry. The perimeter units were painted in 'Silvanus 230', a soft earthy green that feels grounded while the island was left in natural oak, unpainted, allowing the grain and character of the wood to speak for itself. The contrast between the two works beautifully. Aged brass handles run throughout, adding a warmth that ties the painted and natural elements together. The granite worktop brings the design to a close in the most striking way, its jet-black surface swirled with golden and pearlescent veining, cut as a single slab across the island.

  • Open green cabinet with glassware, wine bottles, and a cheese board on a wooden counter. Warm lighting creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere.
  • Wooden kitchen island with black countertop, featuring bookshelves on either side filled with colourful books. A drawer below opens to reveal a dog bowl.
  • Open kitchen drawer with wooden dividers, neatly organized with silver cutlery including knives, forks, and spoons. Soft lighting, elegant feel.

Crafted around family life

The island was designed with the rhythm of daily family life firmly in mind. Deep pan drawers run along both sides, push-to-use chopping boards sit flush within the worktop, and a slimline pull-out keeps everyday essentials close at hand without cluttering the surface. Open oak shelving gives cookbooks and keepsakes a proper home, and a bespoke ledge was built specifically for the family dog bowls. It is exactly the kind of detail that makes a kitchen feel like it was made for the people, and animals, who actually use it.

The Shaker countertop cupboard is another highlight worth pausing at. Open the bi-fold doors and you find a walnut interior, its deep chocolate tones creating a warm and intimate backdrop for glassware and treasured pieces. A custom brass worktop inside adds an unexpected touch of luxury, its warm glow sitting naturally alongside the green cabinetry and natural oak elsewhere in the room. It is the sort of feature that reveals itself gradually, the kind of thing guests notice and ask about, and that our clients will appreciate more with every passing year.

Taken as a whole, the Bewdley Kitchen is a space that rewards attention. The more time you spend in it, the more you notice, every decision was made with care and every detail has a reason for being there. It is a kitchen built around a family, shaped by their routines, their tastes, and the way they live, and that is precisely what makes it so special. What our clients say

"We first used Minerva some years ago in a previous house we owned. The service and advice then was first class. Having moved to a new house which required a kitchen revamp Minerva was our first port of call. As previously the advice was first class. There was no rush to “get it right”. The result being another fabulous kitchen delivered on time and within budget. Well done to the Minerva Team"
