Minimalist design

Deep green has become one of our most requested Shaker colours, and it's easy to see why in the Brackley home. The brief was simple but specific, Neil and Marion wanted a bespoke kitchen that felt classic rather than trend-led, with enough contrast and texture to keep it interesting. Pairing the green with soft cream cabinetry gave the room warmth and balance, while Sorrento collection doors brought the traditional Shaker profile the clients had fallen for.

Large windows and a skylight were already a huge asset in this space, so the layout was designed to make the most of the natural light rather than compete with it. The U-shaped design keeps worktop and storage close at hand without closing the room in, and marble-effect worktops and splash back adds a quiet touch of luxury that catches the light beautifully through the day. It's a handmade kitchen built to be lived in, practical enough for daily life, elegant enough to feel special.

A clean, contemporary edge

The real character of this bespoke kitchen comes from how the two tones work together. Deep green grounds the room and gives it presence, while the cream cabinetry lifts the space and stops it feeling heavy, a balance that's harder to get right than it looks. Matte black hardware was chosen deliberately to sharpen that contrast, giving the whole design a clean, contemporary edge against the more traditional Shaker profile.

Practicality mattered just as much as looks here with the space being fully utilised. The U-shaped layout was planned around how the family actually uses the kitchen day to day, with integrated appliances keeping the lines uninterrupted and plenty of worktop space for cooking and gathering. No matter how large or small your project is, get in touch with us and one of our designers will be more than happy to help you get your dream kitchen.

What our clients say

We dropped into to the Stratford upon Avon Minerva showroom after looking at bespoke wooden kitchens online. Kevin was extremely helpful from the start, amazingly knowledgeable & welcoming. After a few reviews of the design layout, colour scheme etc. we settled on an excellent, practical & lovely design. The new kitchen was part of a significant project to vault the ceiling and refit windows after removing the old kitchen. The whole process with Minerva went smoothly - Kevin on design (covering all the details with a full specification) and project management; preparation, build & storage of all cabinets by the Minerva team; fitting by Marcin; worktop & splash back measure & install by the custom granite guys; follow up on minor snagging by Minerva. We really could not be any happier with what has been achieved - it's stunning for us & practical too. We would not hesitate to recommend the whole Minerva team. Excellent quality work.
