A cosy retreat

This Shaker kitchen in Bringsty Common was thoughtfully crafted for a charming country cottage built in the 1800s, showcasing beautiful natural stone that tells a story of its own. Our clients, passionate about preserving their home's rich history and character, decided to add a lovely extension to the side of the cottage. This new space was designed to provide more room for family and friends to gather and enjoy, all while maintaining the timeless charm of the original structure.

In their desire to honour the cottage's heritage, our clients decided to leave part of the original stone exposed, creating a stunning feature wall that serves as a focal point in the new kitchen. This rustic element, combined with the natural wooden beams on display gives the space with an open and authentic feel, seamlessly blending the old with the new. The exposed stone and beams add architectural interest and evoke a sense of warmth and history, making the kitchen a cosy retreat.

This beautifully crafted Shaker kitchen captures the timeless charm of a classic country home. Our clients selected a soft, neutral colour palette that pairs effortlessly with natural timber accents, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the space. While rooted in traditional design, the kitchen also showcases our clients' individual style through a bespoke handcrafted dresser that serves as a standout feature within the room. Designed to make a statement, the dresser introduces bold colour accents that contrast beautifully with the otherwise neutral scheme, bringing personality and visual interest to the space. Combining practical storage with distinctive design, it has become both a functional focal point and a reflection of our clients' creativity.
