Donnington Kitchen
Handcrafted in our Bologna Collection, the main run of cabinetry is painted in 'Fortuna 380' and the Island in 'Hercules 150' . Featuring Crofts & Assinder knobs and handles in chrome with a Granite worktop.
A charming transition
Space was a key consideration in designing The Donnington kitchen. After deciding to downsize from their spacious family farmhouse to a charming townhome, our clients faced the challenge of adjusting to a smaller living area. This transition meant that every square inch of the kitchen had to be utilised efficiently to maintain functionality without sacrificing style. The flow of the kitchen became a critical aspect of the design, ensuring that it was both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
To achieve this, we meticulously planned every kitchen detail, scrutinising each cabinet to determine its purpose and ensure it fit perfectly within the space. Every element handcrafted, reflecting our clients' needs and preferences. One of the standout features is the bespoke mantel, ingeniously crafted to include an integrated extractor fan. This design not only saves space but also adds a sleek, modern touch to the kitchen. Flanking the mantel, we installed tall cabinets that provide ample storage without overwhelming the room, maintaining a balanced and harmonious look.

From farmhouse to forever
Capturing the essence of our clients' agricultural background was essential while also embracing their new home. This blend of tradition and modernity is beautifully reflected in the choice of materials and finishes. Walnut, with its rich, warm tones, was selected to feature prominently in the drawers, larder, and wine rack. This wood not only adds a touch of elegance but also serves as a nod to the rustic charm of their former farmhouse, creating a bridge between past and present.
The bespoke Shaker drawers are designed for optimal storage, ensuring that every utensil and ingredient has its place. The larder provides a dedicated space for dry goods and preserves, keeping the kitchen organised and clutter-free. The wine rack, elegantly integrated into the cabinetry, offers both functionality and a stylish display for their collection.
Beyond the practical aspects, the overall design of the Donnington kitchen exudes a sense of comfort and sophistication. The colour palette is carefully chosen to create a bright and welcoming atmosphere, with neutral tones that enhance the natural light streaming in from the windows. Subtle accents and finishes add depth and interest, making the kitchen a focal point of the home. Our clients can now enjoy a kitchen that perfectly suits their downsized lifestyle while honouring the rich history of their agricultural roots.
