Years in the making

Our clients began their home renovation journey back in 2019, just before the COVID pandemic turned everyday life upside down. The project has been years in the making, which makes seeing it finally finished all the more special. Throughout it all, keeping things local really mattered to them. So when they discovered Minerva, they were drawn straight away to our commitment to quality and craftsmanship and they knew right then that their family kitchen had to be handcrafted by us.

The Elgar Kitchen was handcrafted in our Milan collection, showcasing our sleek, modern design with beautifully understated recessed handles. The real showstopper here is the island, featuring a stunning waterfall worktop crafted in sintered stone in the elegant "Calcutta" style. It's a sophisticated choice that brings a real sense of luxury, while still being durable and easy to maintain which is ideal for busy family life.

A collaborative journey

The design of the Elgar Kitchen was kept deliberately minimal, in keeping with the home's overall feel. The Milan collection's clean, modern lines and recessed handles gave us the perfect starting point.

The whole kitchen was painted in 'Cardea 080', a soft white that helps the room feel bright and spacious. We paired this beautifully with our ash wood, bringing a touch of warmth and natural texture into the design. The result is a kitchen that feels light and airy, yet still inviting. The waterfall worktop on the island isn't just a showstopper to look at, it's brilliantly practical too, perfect for meal prep, casual dining, or simply gathering round to chat. The Calcutta sintered stone flows seamlessly down the side of the island, adding a lovely sense of continuity.

Every detail of the kitchen was thoughtfully considered around our clients' needs. The flush handles keep things looking sleek and uncluttered, while also making the kitchen comfortable and easy to use day to day. That same minimalist approach keeps the space low-maintenance, while the ash wood adds a natural, tactile feel that softens the overall design.

Completing the kitchen marks the end of years of planning, designing and crafting and it's a project we're incredibly proud of. It's a true reflection of our commitment to creating bespoke kitchens that are as beautiful as they are tailored to our clients' lives and tastes. From first concept to final reveal, it's been a wonderfully collaborative journey, resulting in a space that truly reflects the homeowners' vision.
