Timeless character

Set within a beautifully renovated 1930s home, The Briar Kitchen combines contemporary design with timeless character. As part of an extensive refurbishment, the property was transformed with a striking rear extension that maximises natural light and frames stunning views across the Herefordshire countryside. The result is a bright and inviting living space that feels effortlessly connected to its surroundings.

The original kitchen was compact and no longer suited the lifestyle of our clients, who wanted a space that was both practical and beautifully designed. Working closely with them throughout the project, we created a spacious, elegant kitchen that complements the open-plan extension while providing a functional hub for everyday living, entertaining and family life.

A contemporary design

The kitchen was handcrafted in our Milan collection, a contemporary design that combines clean lines with refined detailing. The signature design which achieves the sleek appearance of a handleless kitchen while retaining everyday practicality. This subtle detail contributes to the seamless, uncluttered aesthetic that defines the space, allowing the quality of the materials and craftsmanship to take centre stage. At the heart of the kitchen sits a generous central island, designed to be both highly functional and visually striking. Incorporating a combination of deep drawers and spacious cupboards, it provides extensive storage while keeping everyday essentials neatly organised. The expansive worktop offers plenty of room for food preparation, casual dining and entertaining, making the island a natural focal point and gathering place for family and friends.

The rich deep-green cabinetry introduces depth, character and sophistication, creating a bold statement while maintaining a timeless appeal. Carefully selected black accents, including the high-specification appliances, statement tap and open shelving, enhance the contemporary feel and provide a striking contrast against the cabinetry. These darker elements are balanced beautifully by the warmth of the natural oak flooring and the abundance of natural light that floods the room through the large glazed doors. Thoughtfully designed to complement the home's open-plan layout and stunning countryside views, the kitchen perfectly balances style and functionality. The result is a sophisticated yet practical space that reflects our clients' vision and serves as the true heart of their home.
