Refined country living

After years of carefully renovating their home, our clients were ready to create a kitchen that would become the heart of family life. Having undertaken much of the restoration work themselves, they were looking for a design that would complement the character of the property while providing a practical and beautiful space for everyday living.

The Bologna Collection was the perfect choice for this modern country home. Inspired by the timeless simplicity of Shaker design, it combines classic craftsmanship with subtle contemporary detailing. The addition of elegant pencil beading enhances the cabinetry, bringing a sense of refinement and individuality to the space, while preserving the warm, welcoming feel that defines a true country kitchen.

A countryside haven

Inspired by their countryside surroundings, our clients wanted their kitchen to reflect the beauty of the landscape beyond their windows. To achieve this, they selected 'Silvanus 230' for the cabinetry, a rich green tone that brings a sense of calm and connection to nature. The colour enhances the bright, airy feel of the space while creating a transition between the home and its rural setting.

At the centre of the design is a spacious island, thoughtfully created to suit the needs of family life. More than just a practical workspace, it serves as a natural gathering point where everyday moments unfold. One end of the island features bespoke oak shelving, providing easy access to drawing materials and family essentials, making it the perfect spot for creative activities around the breakfast bar.

An integrated oak wine rack offers an elegant way to display favourite bottles, while oak drawers and cleverly concealed storage beneath the breakfast bar maximise space without compromising the kitchen's clean aesthetic. These carefully considered features ensure the kitchen remains both practical and organised.

To support their love of cooking and entertaining, our clients also requested a dedicated larder. Designed as a bespoke single-door pantry, it blends seamlessly into the Shaker cabinetry while providing storage. Inside, oak shelving, spice storage, and handcrafted drawer boxes create a highly organised space for ingredients and everyday essentials.

Completing the design is a freestanding dresser that has become the family's dedicated drinks station. Housing everything from coffee-making essentials to glassware and refreshments, it provides a convenient and stylish area for preparing everything from a morning coffee to evening drinks with friends. Tailored to the way our clients live, it provides a warm and welcoming environment where family life can flourish while celebrating the natural beauty of its countryside setting.
