Thoughtful detail

Set within a beautifully elevated first-floor space, The Wood House Kitchen was designed to honour the character of the original kitchen while introducing a renewed sense of calm, light, and thoughtful detail. Our clients had a deep affection for their former kitchen — it had served them well over the years — but as time passed, wear became apparent and the need for a refined, enduring upgrade grew.

Drawn to our Sorrento collection, they were particularly taken by its pared-back elegance — a Shaker-inspired design that celebrates simplicity, with clean-lined cabinetry and subtle detailing. By omitting the need for framework, the Sorrento achieves a quiet modernity while still retaining a sense of tradition, making it the perfect fit for a home that balances the old with the new.

Warmth and familiarity

They wished to keep the kitchen open and light-filled, forgoing an island in favour of their original dining table — a beloved piece that continues to bring warmth and familiarity to the space. The cabinetry is painted in 'Luna 110', a soft, off-white tone, chosen for its ability to reflect natural light and lend an airy, expansive feel to the room. The result is a peaceful, inviting kitchen that blends seamlessly with the architecture of the home and opens out onto a sun-drenched terrace — ideal for slow morning coffees or relaxed al fresco meals.

To introduce a touch of colour, our clients selected a deep green Everhot cooker — a striking focal point in an otherwise calm palette. The tone has since been discontinued, lending this choice a rare, almost bespoke quality. To echo this green and carry it subtly through the rest of the home, we designed a freestanding dresser for the adjacent living space. Painted in a 'Silvanus 230', a complementary, muted green completed with warm oak worktop, it brings balance, texture and cohesion to the entire interior.

The Wood House Kitchen is a celebration of quiet luxury — a thoughtful blend of form and function, where every detail is considered, and the beauty of restraint takes centre stage.

What our clients say

"Excellent quality of cabinetry, good help with the design process, and very good fitting and installation. We're very happy with our Minerva kitchen - but remember that in most cases you will need a good builder as well...."
